Hurry up to install an energy storage: a new call to residents on August 19

Coming soon – state support for energy storage devices

From August 19, 2025, residents will be able to submit applications for state support for the installation of electricity storage devices by individuals in households. As much as 5,776,970 euros have been allocated for this call.

An important condition: compensation will be granted only to those who have installed a solar power plant and will also install an energy storage device. Support is paid only for devices installed and delivered before the application is submitted. Therefore, the storage device must be purchased and installed before submitting the application.

Support for generating consumers is calculated according to fixed rates and depends on the type of storage device chosen. Support for installing a lithium iron phosphate electricity storage device amounts to EUR 379.73 per 1 kWh of device capacity, and for lithium-ion electricity storage devices – EUR 313.81 per 1 kWh. A maximum of 15 kWh of storage capacity will be compensated for one electricity consumption object.

Applications together with payment requests through the APVIS system are accepted from 2025. August 19. 8 a.m. until the funds provided for in the call are sufficient. EUR 5.7 million

Why is it worth having an energy storage device?

  • In summer, the excess energy produced by a solar power plant during the day can be stored and used in the evening or at night, when the sun is no longer shining, but the need for electricity remains.
  • In winter, the accumulator can be charged from the electricity grid at night, when the tariff is lower, and used during the day, when the tariff is more expensive.
  • During power outages (if the accumulator has a backup power function), it can temporarily supply electricity to the most important appliances - lighting, refrigerator, pumps, etc.
  • All year round, the accumulator helps reduce bills, accelerates the payback of the solar power plant, provides flexibility and reduces dependence on fluctuations in electricity prices.
