APVA support for solar power plant with storage: additional 10 million euros for residents

Additional state support is available to residents planning to install a solar power plant with an energy storage system. The Ministry of Energy has extended the previously announced call and hasadditionally allocated more than 10 million euros to those households that cannot supply more than 1 kW of power to the grid due to grid restrictions. Applications can be submitted until 30 June 2026 or until the budget allocated for the call is used up.

This support is intended for residents who want to become producing consumers, but are faced with load restrictions on the ESO grid. The decision to connect a solar power plant together with an energy storage system allows most of the generated electricity to be consumed on site or stored in batteries, and only a small part to be transmitted to the grid. This is especially relevant in areas where grid development is limited, and connection is long and complicated. According to the terms of this call, funding is provided for the installation of a 5 kW solar power plant and a 10 kWh electricity storage system, when the power allowed to be generated into the grid does not exceed 1 kW.

The amount of the grant depends on the selected storage technology. When installing a 5 kW solar power plant with a 10 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) storage system, support of 5,012 euros is provided. When choosing a lithium-ion technology storage system, support amounts to 4,572 euros. Only the solar power plant or only the energy storage system are not funded separately - support applies only to the complete solution.

It is important to note:

  • The solar power plant and storage system must be installed no earlier than September 1, 2025;
  • the application is submitted after the project has been fully implemented.

The call is carried out on a one-stage basis - support is not reserved in advance, therefore documents are submitted only after becoming a producing consumer.

For those planning to invest in a solar power plant with an energy storage system, it is worth assessing your home's electricity consumption, the potential system power and the most suitable storage technology in advance. Pinus LT specialists provide advice throughout the process - from selecting a technical solution to project implementation and assistance in preparing APVA support documents. Investing in a solar power plant with an energy storage system allows you to increase energy independence and prepare for future changes in the electricity market.
